***SAFE 07/19/15*** “VERY FRIENDLY'” EBONY KITTEN, DUMPED DUE TO MOVE, GIVES GENTLE, TRUSTING RUBS AND HAS A GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT WILL DIE BECAUSE SHE SNEEZED – PLEASE GRANT PANTHER A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Pretty princess PANTHER, a plush-velvet ebony kitten just one year old, finds herself sadly surrendered to the ACC’s Death Camp for Kitties after her old owner MOVED to new cat-free digs, leaving poor Panther to fend for herself. This gorgeous little girl was “VERY FRIENDLY” during intake, and went on to earn a very good EXPNOCHILD behavior rating for her GENTLE, TRUSTING RUBS! But this darling black kitten will DIE at noon tomorrow, an INNOCENT VICTIM of the notorious ACC kitty cold and a badly broken shelter system. Please don’t let them silence her purrs forever – she’s just a kitten! Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt adorable, affectionate black kitten PANTHER! If you can’t save PANTHER yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

07/01/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/01/15 13:47 Basic Information Panther is an approximately 2 year old DSH. He/she is being surrendered because the owner is moving and can no longer care for him. Behavior during intake During intake, Panther was very friendly and allowed handling. I was able to pet him, scan(neg) and transfer into a kennel. There he took food and water. Update: Once in kennel, he started to hiss at other cats and staff members. He began to strike excessively and swat and meow very loudly. He did not allow anyone to approach the kennel without striking. We were then unable to collar or photograph.

07/05/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Panther was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, she comes to the front, sniffs around, and rubs her cheeks on the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Panther remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Panther was a bit hesitant at first, but rubs her cheeks and leans on the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Panther meows and shifts away. She starts to growl and becomes very stiff. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Panther solicits attention and tolerates petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. Due to her willingness to strike out to avoid handling in certain situations, we recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents and without children.
