***GONE 07/30/15*** Do you see those soulful eyes, those pointy ears? PACA regards you with pleading eyes-an ACC volunteer has this to say about her…’ A stunning beauty for a royal regal senior. A true queen sits in her condo throne and surveys her empire. She will throw it all away to go home with you. Make your living room her kingdom. She is beautiful, gentle and sweet as only a true monarch can be.’ Though listed as ‘part Russian Blue’ PACA appears to have the classic double coat of a Russian Blue and the same royal loyal nature. Given up because a new apartment doesn’t allow pets? She’s more than a pet, isn’t she? Succeed where the former ‘owner’ failed and scoop up this precious girl! ‘Blue’ girls are the sweetest and most kind-don’t let her be killed..

07/17/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Paca has been exposed to children ages 2 & 7 and his from them when ever they came over to the home. She would run and hide when strangers came over to the home as well. Paca has not resided with any other cats or dogs. Also, described as a shy, mellow, independent and quiet cat. Paca’s previous owners report that she was eliminating urinating outside the litterbox for about 4 months ago. We are unaware of what, if any, modifications steps were taken to try and address this behavior in the home, so we cannot be sure what the trigger may have been or if this behavior may continue in a future home. However, we recommend that potential adopters be comfortable with management and modification techniques for elimination outside the litterbox should this behavior continue in a home environment. Reaction to assessor: Paca looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Paca remains crouched down at the back of the cage, alert with a direct stare. Reaction to touch: Paca at first, leans away from the assessor’s hand then accepts the stroke, however, during the touch she hard stares, meow whines, and stiffens in place. Placement determination: Experience / no child Paca tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
