OREO – A1042442

***GONE 07/15/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY YOUNG TUXIE “STRAY”, BROUGHT IN BY POLICE, HAS A GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT THE ACC WILL KILL HIM ANYWAY – PLEASE GRANT OREO A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Handsome three-year-old tuxie boy OREO came into the kill-happy ACC through a sad set of circumstances: “Child brought home a stray cat and was attacked. Mother called police for pick up.” So poor Oreo was SEIZED by the cops & stuffed into the ACC. He entered the shelter FREE of fleas and ear mites, at a healthy 10 pounds, so it’s obvious that he’s a lost or abandoned pet kitty. During his behavior test, Oreo was “CALM AND RELAXED” enough to ALLOW PETTING, so he earned a very good EXPNOCHILD rating. But the heartless, overcrowded ACC will MURDER this poor tuxie at noon tomorrow, despite the fact that Oreo is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! Please don’t let them kill this dear boy. Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt betrayed tuxie boy OREO! If you can’t save OREO yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

07/12/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Oreo was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, he focuses on the assessor for some time, and then looks away. Reaction to cage door opening: Oreo becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Oreo backs away from the assessor’s hand and hisses. He is focused on it, but allows petting on his head. His ears tilt slightly sideways and he closes his eyes and lip licks and during the interaction. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Oreo tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
