SAFE 04/06/15 – OREO – A1030964
4-6-2015
Oreo is a handsome two-tone boy with a luxurious coat and a preference for female cat companions, if you go by what his former owner had to say. Given that Oreo is an intact male, that preference comes as no surprise. Oreo was brought in by someone who felt that they had “too many pets,” but that should NOT be his death warrant! Please advocate fiercely for this deserving, EXPERIENCE-rated house cat, tonight.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Please take note: Oreo’s former owner stated he has lived with cats but seems to get along with females then with males, instead of one female. However, he loves to play, enjoys petting, loves to cuddle & be picked up. Reaction to assessor: Oreo looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Oreo remains crouched down at the back of the cage, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Oreo accepts the stroke, leans into the assessor’s hand but body remains stiff with tail close to his body. Placement determination: Experience Oreo tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
