07/10/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Orange was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment. At the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. Orange is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: hisses, growls at me, appears to be fearful When spoken quietly: hisses, growls at me, appears to be fearful Reaction to door cage opening: become stiff, alert, continues to hiss Reaction to touch: swats at me Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of behavior, hisses swat. Placement Determination: NewHope
