I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 08/05/2015 from NY 10473, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB.

08/05/15 20:10 Basic Information: Olivia is a female domestic short hair cat who likes to be pet and given kisses. Social Life and Personality: Olivia has been around 1 child who was 6 years old and was relaxed around that child. Olivia doesn’t play very often with children. Olivia has never been around any other cats so it is unknown how she reacts to them. Around dogs Oliviais relaxed. Olivia is litterbox trained and was kept indoors only. Olivia’s previous owner describes her as playful, confident, mellow, friendly, asssertive, talkative, affectionate, and independant with a medium activity level. Behavior: Olivia has never bitten another person or animal. Olivia enjoys being given a bath, when someone brushes her fur and when someone holds her. Olivia struggles when being put into a carrier. Olivia’s previous owner has never trimmed her nails so it is unknown how she reacts to that event. For a New Family to Know: Olivia likes clumping litter in an uncovered litter box and does not scratch. When home Olivia likes to stay on the windowstill and will check up on you every once in a while to see what you are up to. Olivia likes dry food and her favorite treats are chicken and salmon flavored. Olivia likes to sleep where she feels most comfortable. Intake Behavior: Olivia allowed staff to collar, scan and take pictures of her with no of signs of aggression. Staff had difficulties getting Olivia into carrier.

Reaction to assessor: Olivia looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Olivia remains lying down on her cage bedding, chirping attention. Reaction to touch: Olivia stands with tail up, head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She becomes antsy and jumps back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Olivia interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
