***GONE 06/24/15 SWEET AND AFFECTIONATE CALICO NEEDS YOU! Olaf is a chatty, loving and headbutting one year old girl who desperately needs us to advocate for her precious life. A 12 month old cat may look fully grown, but really, that animal is still a kitten. That kitten may have made the round of all 4 seasons, but she is still learning new things about the world, still developing a strong body and a good mind. What can Olaf be learning within the bowels of the ACC? She has been getting a crash course in fear and sharpening Olaf’s immune system on some fancy germs, but perhaps the most important seed that has been planted, is that of appreciation. She has made the euth list, which means that her precious life will be taken from her tomorrow afternoon, unless a safe haven can be found tonight. But when the efforts are successful, and Olaf meets her new people, this pretty kitty will be the most appreciative cat in the world. Make that possible for this sweet and affectionate calico tonight.

06/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Olaf comes to the front and meows upon approach. When softly spoken to, she rubs her cheeks against the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Olaf remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Olaf head-butts the assessor’s hand, remains in place for petting, and her tail swishes from side to side. Her ears bend slightly sideways during the interaction, but she continues to solicit attention by head-butting. Reaction to being picked up: Olaf allows handling, but may tense up and struggle to be put back down. Behavior Determination: Experience Olaf interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Although she is displaying behaviors that earn her an Average score, due to her reaction to handling during the medical exam and her willingness to strike out to avoid handling in certain situations, we recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
