Medical Summary
HX: kitten presented from Queens Receiving Center. Kitten was not scanned for miucrochip. Slightly depressed, A&R female kitten. Body/head/extremity fur is stained in several areas with what appears to be ink. No temperature obtained on this anxious animal (became so with progress of exam) Bilateral mucolurulent ocular discharge, conjunctivitis/chemosis Slightly open-mouthed breathing. Some squeaks auculted over craniodorsal lung fields (bilat) No fleas or ear mites noted. Eyes are irrigated with ophthalmic wash. Erythromycin ophthalmic ointment instilled OU Augmentin 0.16 cc PO administered Strongid administered Frontline dribbled in very small amount onto gloves and apllied to kitten’s body. Nutrical was not well received 100 cc warmed LRS SC administered Plan: Erythromycin eye ointment thin strip OU BID x 7 days Augmentin 0.16. cc PO BID x 7 days Offer Nutrical or baby cat food slurry SC fluids as needed to maintain hydration Vet check 06/16/15 Consider EHR, if kitten does not eat on own.
