04/21/15 14:16 BASIC INFO Nugget’s family got her from a neighbor 3 years ago when she was a kitten and surrendered her because of litterbox accidents. She has no known health issues and hasn’t been to a vet. SOCIALIZATION Nugget lived with 2 children ages 8-16. She’s relaxed, affectionate, and plays gently with them. She’s shy with strangers and has never bit/scratched any people or animals. She lived with 2 cats, a male and a female. She was relaxed, affectionate, tolerant, and played exuberantly with them. She slept with the female and they groomed each other. Nugget also lived with a Pit Bull and avoided her. She swatted and ran away when he bothered her. BEHAVIOR Since her family got her, Nugget has urinated out of her box on a bed or couch about once daily. She also uses the litterbox. Her owners don’t know why she has this problem. She enjoys being brushed, picked up, and held. She doesn’t mind being woken up. She struggles when being put in a carrier. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Nugget’s family describes her as friendly, affectionate, shy, playful, talkative, and medium energy. She follows them around and sits on them. She likes balls and string and plays gently with people. Nugget lived inside and slept on a bed or chair. She ate dry food and got wet food as a treat. She used uncovered and hooded litterboxes with clay litter. She scratched a cardboard horizontal scratcher in addition to the leather couch. She didn’t use a vertical fabric scratching post. INTAKE Nugget was a little tense during handling-scan (negative), collar, petting, picking up, pictures, taking in and out of carrier. She was crouched and walked and looked around on the table. She was easy to handle and didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.
