I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/17/2015 from NY 10303, owner surrender reason stated was OWNER DIED. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-039907.

11/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
November was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. November was being monitored by the Enrichment Facilitator and was described as being fearful and tense upon intake. He tolerated petting and was stress meowing when she first arrived. Reaction to assessor: November inches away from the assessor slowly. Reaction when softly spoken to: November starts to low growl and lick lips. Reaction to cage door opening: November is tense and motionless. Reaction to touch: November hisses when touched. His ears bend flat, and he whips his head around when touched on his back. He is tense and continues to lick lips. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child November tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
