NIKO – A1051237
Gone 9-27-2015 Manhattan
**GONE 09/27/15** NIKO is an AVERAGE-rated boy who has luminous green eyes and very attractive stripes. He was brought into the shelter as a stray on the 12th and impressed the staff with his nice manners….but could the ACC turn those manners into an adoption? Of course not. They merely warehoused him, exposed him to their cooties, and finally this GOOD BOY caught their cold. This guy does NOT need to be killed, he needs a round of antibiotics and a FOSTER or ADOPTER to shower him with TLC. Please advocate fiercely for NIKO, tonight!

09/12/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/12/15 18:44 Niko A1051237 is a young male gray tabby DSH feline who was found in the neighborhood of the finder in the Bronx earlier today. They’re unable to keep him so they surrendered him to us. They stated Niko was friendly and allowed them to pick him up and place him into a carrier. During intake Niko allowed all handling. He allowed us to scan (-), collar him and take his pictures including positioning him during the photo session. Niko didn’t mind being held/petted and was transfered into/out of the kennel with ease.

09/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Niko looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Niko remains sitting upright on his cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Niko accepts the stroke then began to slowly head-butt the assessor’s hand while he lip licks in place, but remains cautious with his surroundings with eyes wandering to sudden noises. Placement determination: Experience tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
