***SAFE 06/13/15*** HANDSOME HOUSE PANTHER NIGHTFALL WAS DUMPED FOR “TOO MANY PETS” AND NOW HE WILL DIE BECAUSE HE CAUGHT THE SHELTER COLD!!! NIGHTFALL is a 2 year old gorgeous ebony sleek house panther. His owner felt he had too many so, sadly, NIGHTFALL got the boot. Now this AVERAGE RATED super cat will die if a kind hearted person doesn’t step up and adopt or foster him. NIGHTFALL IS GOOD WITH DOGS!!! He lived with dogs and was totally OK with them. His owner described him as an affectionate cat. On is behavior assessment he solicited attention and petting and was easy to handle. WHAT’S TO NOT LIKE HERE? THIS IS THE PURRFECT CAT TO MAKE YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND. DON’T LET THE ACC GET AWAY WITH MURDER HERE – CONTACT A RESCUE GROUP IF YOU CAN’T GO TO THE SHELTER IN PERSON TOMORROW – THEY CAN ASSIST IN ADOPTION AND ARRANGE FREE TRANSPORT UP TO A FEW HOURS FROM NYC. 05/31/15 10:51 Basic information Nightfall is a male 2 year old Black Domestic Short hair with no Known past or present medical conditions. Client has had Nghtfall for 4 months and is surrendering because of too many pets. Socialization Nightfall has not lived with any children or other cats but has lived with dogs. Around dogs nightfall is tolerant and respectful, will allow dog to come up and smell him but does not engage in any play. Nightfall is an indoor cat with a low to medium activity level and is mostly house trained with rare accidents. Nightfall was described as shy and affectionate. Behavior Nightfall enjoys being pet and brushed but his reaction is not known to being given a bath or nails being trimmed. Nightfall becomes fearful and struggles when being picked up. If you attempt to pick him up he l=will climb up to your shoulder s and try to go down your back. Nightfall has stretched when picked up but never became aggressive, hissed or bit. Nightfall is mostly litter box trained but has had 2 accidents outside the litter box in for months. For teh new family to know Nightfall enjoys playing with feather toys on strings and wands. Nightfall has a cardboard scratching post but does not use it and never uses his nails on anything in the house. Nightfall has an uncovered litter box and uses clumping litter. When in the home Nightfall will seek attention, follow you around to be pet. in the car ride nightfall was quiet. Nightfall eats Purina dry food and enjoys the mist catnip spray. previous owner stated that Nightfall took 2 weeks to get use to her new surroundings but then warmed up adn became very affectionate. Behavior during intake Nightfall was quiet during intake. Allowed to be scanned and collared. When in kennel nightfall allowed to be pet and started to need with his paws.

Around dogs Nightfall is tolerant and respectful, will allow dog to come up and smell him, but does not engage in any play. Also, was described as shy and affectionate. Reaction to assessor: Nightfall looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Nightfall remains crouched down at the front of the cage, alert with soft eyes, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Nightfall leans into the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He allows the pickup then calmly walks back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Nightfall interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
