Owner stated that her neighbor abandoned Nicca so she took her but could no longer care for her along with her 2 other cats. Her last veterinary trip was 2 years ago however; she will undergo a complete medical examination. Social Life & Personality Nicca is relaxed, affectionate and respectful with children. She was motherly, affectionate and gentle with the kitten that also lived in the home but was constantly trying to dominate the older cat and was territorial. She has never had interaction with other dogs. She is litter box trained and never has house accidents. She is kept only indoors and has a medium activity level. Owner described her as playful, shy with unfamiliar people, mellow friendly, and affectionate. Behavior Issues Owner stated that Nicca has no behavior issues. Whenever she is vocal, it’s when she wants to be fed. She isn’t bothered with baths, enjoys being picked up and held and is afraid of being placed into a carrier. Upon intake, Nicca displayed signs of extreme nervousness. Assistance was needed when transferring her to another carrier. Her ears were turned completely outwards, her back was arched and she retrieved into the back of the carrier. She allowed herself to be collard inside of the carrier. When trying to remove her, she lunged and bit handler. No skin was broken. She was photographed inside the carrier. For a New Family to Know Nicca uses an uncovered litter box with crystal litter. She has a scratching post made of fabric. When home, she tends to follow owner around when she first arrives. However, after greeting her and sniffing her out, Nicca goes about her business. She is relaxed during car rides. She eats both dry and wet cat food and sleeps just about anywhere in the house.
