NENA – A1041524
7-12-2015 Manhattan
*** GONE 07/12/15*** NENA’S OWNER MOVED AWAY AND DUMPED HER IN THE SHELTER. NOW NENA CAUGHT THE SHELTER COLD AND WILL DIE FOR IT! NENA’s owner said he moved to a non – pet friendly apartment. WHY?? He said he had raised NENA for her past 3 years from kittenhood. But for some reason this person didn’t value his cat enough to find a place to live where she could live with him. NENA was perfectly healthy when she came in but now has the kitty sniffles and is sentenced to die for that. NENA rocked a super AVERAGE rating for her friendly behavior. GIVE NENA A FUREVER HOME WHERE SHE WILL BE LOVED – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW AND ASK TO FOSTER OR ADOPT THIS SUPER KITTY. YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!!

06/25/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/25/15 20:35HRS BASIC INFORMATION Nena is a female domestic shorthair cat that was raised by her owner for the past three years. She is being surrendered because her owner moved to no-pets residence and her owner’s family is unable to keep her due to allergies. SOCIAL LIFE & PERSONALITY Nena is described as an independent cat that will occasionally play enthusiastically, running around and jumping on and off furniture. Nena is relaxed and tolerant of small children, allowing them to pet her and pick her up. If she doesn’t want to play she normally walks away. Nena lives indoors only and has never interacted with other cats or dogs. BEHAVIOR Nena will claw at the fabric covered couches. She does not receive baths so owner does not know how she behaves when placed in water. She is not accustomed to being brushed or having her nails trimmed. Nena will allow you to pick her up. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Nena is a friendly but independent cat. She will play with some of her cat toys but prefers none in particular. She is litterbox trained and does not have accidents in the home. She will jump on her owner’s lap to be petted and follow her owner around the house sometimes. She was fed dry food at least twice a day. She enjoyed Friskies cat treats and would find a warm spot anywhere in the house to sleep. DURING INTAKE Nena was hiding towards the back of her carrier. When Admissions extended a hand towards her she remained motionless with her pupils dilated. Once she was out of her carrier, she remained crouched down looking around the room. She sniffed the Admissions counselor hand when being collared but her body remained stiff and in the crouched position.
