NELLY – A1049490
Gone 9-3-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 09/03/15*** Whoa,NELLY! This sweet guy and friend,SILVIUS (who us currently in the “Unknown STATUS” folder) were brought in the ACC in traps. The 2 year old,NELLY was NOT HAPPY! But who would be? His extreme fearfulness has gotten him slammed with a RESCUE ONLY rating! So NELLY needs you to contact a New Hope Rescue and offer to FOSTER or ADOPT! His fear should ease up once decompressed and away from the clutches of the ACC! Just let NELLY be NELLY! And you may just HAVE a new best friend!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Nelly looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Nelly remains crouched down at the back of the cage, alert with a direct stare. Reaction to touch: Nelly does not allow the stroke, hisses, and attempts to swat at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Nelly is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
