05/04/15 20:16 Basic Information Neal was brought to the shelter by police as a stray Behavior during Intake Neal was very frightened during intake. His body was very tense, and his pupils were dilated. He retreated towards the back of the carrier and refused to move. Although afraid, Neal still let me touch him and collar him. Neal did not show any signs of aggression during intake.

Reaction to assessor: Nealy looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Nealy remains crouched down on her cag bedding. Reaction to touch: Nealy does not allow, retreats, and hisses at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Nealy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
