NATASHA – A1045796
8-5-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 08/05/15***-SWEET SENIOR NEEDS NEW FRIEND—BE NATASHA’S HERO! Natasha was surrendered because her owner was moving and couldn’t take her and her her feline friend, Velma (still available) along. Natasha is very skinny and her previous owner reported that her appetite has not changed, but she is losing weight. She had been losing patches of fur since being in our shelter, which is consistent with a report that Natasha’s previous owner said. The ACC thinks she has a thyroid issue and will need to go see a private vet for confirmation and a workup. But a thyroid condition is very treatable with medication—not a lethal injection. Natasha is a sweet older lady who would love a place to curl up with a purrson to snuggle with. Can you be her rescue angel? Please reserve Natasha online or contact a NH rescue for assistance with transportation. Won’t you please be Natasha’s hero?

08/03/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Natasha was eating upon approach. She looks at the assessor when softly spoken to, but continues to eat afterwards. Reaction to cage door opening: Natasha lowers her head, starts to grumble, and focuses on the assessor. Reaction to touch: Natasha remains immobile for petting, closes her eyes and begins to lip lick. As per previous owner, Natasha has never been around children or dogs, but has lived with other cats. She got along great with the other cats, and was very respectful towards them. She was described as affectionate and talkative, with a low activity level. She prefers to have affection over playing. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Natasha tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
