PROFILE:
Basic Information
Nala was brought in as an Owner Surrender due to owner moving, and being unable to bring Nala. Nala is a 6-year old Spayed female, and has been with her owner for the past three months since his mother, who was originally Nala’s owner passed away. Owner says as far as he knows Nala doesn’t have any injuries or health concerns, and when asked what he likes most about her he chose that she was friendly and smart.
Personality & Behavior
Nala is described as being affectionate with a low-to mid-activity level. Owner says she hasn’t been around any other animals, and there are no children in the house. Owner says occasionally his teenage niece comes around, and Nala is friendly and respectful towards her. Owner says Nala is litter-box trained and has been kept indoors only. Nala is described as confident and friendly; owner says she likes meeting new people. Owner says he hasn’t had any issues with Nala scratching or biting anyone or another animal. Owner says he hasn’t attempted to bathe or trim Nala’s nails. Nala is said to enjoy being brushed, and owner says when held she struggles to get down. Owner says he lures her into carrier with food, and she is unbothered if disturbed while sleeping.
For a New Family to Know
Owner says Nala uses the clumping form of litter, and had an uncovered litter-box. Owner says Nala would occasionally play with string and had a vertical scratching post that she would occasionally use. Owner says when home Nala follows him at first, but will then retire to one of her favorite spots. Owner says she doesn’t play much, and he hasn’t ridden in a car with her. Nala eats both wet and dry food in different brands, and owner says she has a bed in the living room that she sleeps in.
Behavior during Intake
Nala was friendly during. She was nervous about the environment at first, but relaxed after being given food. Nala allowed me to pet her, and allowed handling. Nala showed no signs of aggression during intake.
