She’ll need lots of TLC to restore her to her former glory, but surely someone – why not YOU? – will open their heart and home to this charming older gal. Mystic is suffering from an outer ear canal infection, but that’s no reason for her to die! Yet that’s EXACTLY what will happen to this poor girl. The ACC will MURDER Mystic at noon tomorrow. Mystic is a bit nervous on the assessor’s initial approach and tries to hide at the back of the kennel. As the assessor began to speak to Mystic quietly, Mystic’s body language was neutral with dilated eyes. She displayed the same body language when the cage door was opened. When attempting to pet Mystic softly Mystic seem visibly a bit nervous, and allowed the touch. After the initial pass Mystic began soliciting petting and attention on her own coming to the front of the kennel with very soft body language. The behavior department believes that Mystic can go to a home with an average amount of cat experience. Reaction to assessor: attempts to hide upon your approach (3) When spoken to quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to cage door opening: remains motionless or does not respond (2) Reaction to touch: Initially is cautious at the back of the cage, but after first pass begins to solicit petting and attention – rubs, chirps, meows (1)
