good appetite seen for soft food

possible fracture vs broken leg to her right leg – will alert DVM

overall body condition is good

sweet girl – easy to handle

setting up ponazuril tx for deworming – .16cc PO SID x 2 days

setting up panacur tx for deworming – .36cc PO SID x 3 days

.16cc ponazuril given PO as a dewormer

.36cc panacur given PO as a dewormer

frontline spray given topical as a flea preventative

BARH. ALLOWED ALL HANDLING. BCS 5/9

TEETH CLEAN, EYES CLEAR, NO OCULAR OR NASAL DISCHARGE, EARS WNL

NORMAL THORACIC AUSCULTATION; NORMAL ABDOMINAL PALPATION (SMALL INTACT BLADDER)

SMALL AMOUNT OF BLOOD AROUND PREPUCE, MILD BRUISING AT INGUINAL REGION

COMPLETE FRACTURE OF RIGHT FEMUR PALPATED, LEG SPLAYS LATERALLY WHEN AMBULATING; MODERATE SWELLING OF RH LIMB

NO OTHER WOUNDS OR INJURIES NOTED

RADIOGRAPHS: LATERAL AND VD RIGHT HIND – CLOSED COMPLETE TRANSVERSE FRACTURE AT DISTAL RIGHT FEMUR WITH CAUDAL AND LATERAL DISPLACEMENT

A: RULE OUT TRAUMATIC INJURY – COMPLETE FRACTURE OF RH FEMUR, TRAUMA TO BLADDER/INGUINAL REGION

P: GAVE BUPRENEX 0.4ML SQ. REC BUPRENEX 0.04ML Q12 X 5 DAYS. REC NEW HOPE PLACEMENT

GOOD PROGNOSIS WITH APPROPRIATE CARE

Mylo came into QAC after being found in the street with a broken leg. Mylo upon intake was wiggly and relaxed. Mylo allowed all handling.
