Safe 9-17-2015 Manhattan Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
** SAFE 09/17/15** MYER lived with a 9-year-old kiddo who was NOT respectful toward her at all, but MYER was respectful toward the kiddo. Until someone in the home decided that same kiddo was ALLERGIC to Myer, and dropped her off at the ACC to face whatever Fate lined up for her, that is. MYER has never been to the vet and she is quite out of her element at the ACC, which means she has been slapped with a New Hope rating. The first time she sees a vet will be when the ACC vet kills her by lethal injection, unless we can find a FOSTER or ADOPTER for Myer, tonight!

She did not play with the child because the child would play rough with her. She loves to play with gift wrapping fabric. She has never lived with another animal. Reaction to assessor: Myer looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Myer remains crouched down on her cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Myer sniffs the assessor’s hand then accepts a stroke, but began to hiss and swat. Placement determination: NH ONLY Myer is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting.
