08/14/15 14:25 Basic information Muneca is an approx. 3 year old DSH. She was given to the owner as a gift from a neighbor. She is being surrendered because the owner is now allergic to her. Muneca has no known health issues and she has not been to the vet. Socialization Around strangers, Muneca is very friendly and outgoing. She plays gently with children and exuberantly with adults. She does well around other cats but has not been around dogs. Muneca has not bitten anyone or any other animal. Behavior Muneca uses the litterbox. The owner says that she has no accidents. She meowed during the car ride. Muneca allows the owner to trim her nails but her reaction to baths is unknown. She allowed to be put into her carrier. For a new family to know The owner describes Muneca as friendly, affectionate, playful, independent, and confident. She has a medium activity level. The owner says that Muneca follows her aorund the house and loves to sleep in the bed. She has toys and has been mostly kept indoors. She was beinf fed meow mix dry cat food. She used an open litterbox with clumping litter. She has a scratching post made out of carpet. Behavior during intake Muneca was very friendly and came out of her carrier on her own. She allowed all handling-scanning(-), collaring and photographs. She allowed petting while looking and observing her surroundings. She did not resist handling and did not retreat.

Muneca’s former owner stated around strangers, she is very friendly and outgoing. She plays gently with children and exuberantly with adults. Muneca does well around other cats, but has not been around dogs. Also, describes Muneca as friendly, affectionate, playful, independent, and confident. Reaction to assessor: Muneca looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Muneca remains crouched down on her cage bedding, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Muneca does not allow the stroke, growls, hisses, and swats at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Muneca is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
