***SAFE 06/20/15***MARVELOUS MUFFIN NEEDS NEW FRIEND! Muffin is a sweet, little 4 year old tortie girl who desperately needs us to advocate for her precious life tonight. She came into the shelter a few short days ago with a wound on her right hind paw. Other than that, she is healthy, affectionate, calm and easy to handle. She is shy and cautious but please don’t let that stop you from making her a purrmanent member of your family. If you can help, please reserve marvelous Muffin online or contact a NH rescue for help with transportation. Let’s help write a happy ending to Muffin’s sad tale. Won’t you please be this little darling’s rescue angel?

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Muffin looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Muffin remains crouched down on her cage bedding, alert with pupils fully dilated. Reaction to touch: Muffin sniffs the assessor’s hand but slowly retreats to the back and stiffens up in place. She then accepts a stroke, but leans away while she attempts to push the assessor’s hand and hisses to stop the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Muffin tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
