EINSTEIN IS THINKING ABOUT A NEW HOME…..He definitely has what it takes…NEUTERED, AFFECTIONATE, BEGINNER RATING & GREAT WITH KIDS…..He also head-butts and closes his eyes when he purrs…His former people reported some recent litterbox issues but declined to say whether they took him to the vet (probably not). The only reason MR. EINSTEIN is on this list is because instead of finding him a new home, the ACC gave him their cold…MR. EINSTEIN IS NOT ONLY SMART BUT HANDSOME…PLEASE FIND ROOM AT YOUR PLACE FOR THIS SWEET GUY AND SAVE HIS LIFE!!

07/03/15 20:13 Basic Information Mr. Einstein was brought in as an owner’s surrender due to having litter box issues. Client says she has had Mr. Einstein since he was just two months old and when asked what she adores most about him client chose that he is affectionate, and great with children. Personality & Behavior Mr. Einstein is described as friendly and affectionate with a medium activity level. Owner says Mr. Einstein has been around her children ages 5 and 14. She says he is tolerant of them and sometimes affectionate and playful. Owner says he is relaxed and playful with other cats, and has not been around dogs. Owner says Mr. Einstein was litter-box trained but within the past month he has stopped using the litter-box. Mr. Einstein has been kept indoors only, and owner describes him as talkative. Owner says she hasn’t had any issues with Mr. Einstein biting anyone or another animal. Owner says he doesnt like baths but will usually sit and deal with them. Owner says he enjoys being held, and she had no problem placing him inside of the carrier. For a New Family to Know Owner says Mr. Einstein has used different types of litter and has an uncovered litter-box. Owner says he enjoys playing with balls and string and doesnt scratch on anything. Owner says when home Mr. Einstein usually follows her around, and is relaxed during car rides. Owner says Mr. Einstein usually eats both wet and dry food in the Blue Buffalo brand. Owner says Mr. Einstein sleeps different places in the house, and is unbothered if disturbed while sleeping. Behavior during Intake Mr. Einstein was friendly during intake. He allowed me to lift him out of his carrier, and allowed handling. Mr. Einstein accepted food, and showed no signs of aggression during intake.

Reaction to assessor: Mr. Einstein was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, he sniffs around and comes to the front. Reaction to cage door opening: Mr. Einstein remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Mr. Einstein head-butts, remains in place for petting, begins to purr, and closes his eyes. Reaction to being picked up: Mr. Einstein remains calm and allows handling. As per previous owner, Mr. Einstein is described as friendly and affectionate with a medium activity level. He is tolerant of children and is sometimes affectionate and playful. He is also relaxed and playful with other cats. However, they do note one concern: Mr. Einstein stopped using the litter box for the past month. We advise any potential adopter to be prepared for this behavior, and prepared manage it if it appears in a future home. Methods of managing and attempting to modify this behavior can be discussed with the Adoption Counselors. Behavior Determination: Beginner Mr. Einstein interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. He may have some behavioral issues that will need to be addressed in the home. This cat can go to a beginner home.
