***GONE 05/02/15*** “SOCIAL AND SOLICITOUS” YOUNG BLACK AND WHITE LOVEBUG HAS A CHARMING VOLUNTEER PLEA, BUT WILL DIE BECAUSE HE SNEEZED – PLEASE GRANT MOSAIC A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Stunning two-year-old black and white charmer MOSAIC was stuffed into the high-kill ACC as a supposed “STRAY”. This adorable laddie quickly caught the eye of an ACC staffer, who lovingly writes: “Mosaic is a handsome man-cat with chunky cheeks that loves head rubs and head scratches. He’s a little shy, but like any great work of art, gets better and better with time. Could this quiet biscuit maker be your masterpiece? Come find out in Brooklyn!” Mosaic, who earned a very good EXPERIENCE behavior rating, is a TALKATIVE boy who BEGS TO BE PETTED. But the heartless ACC will silence Mosaic’s meows forever at noon tomorrow, all because this excellent young boy SNEEZED. Please start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt marvelous MOSAIC! If you can’t save MOSAIC yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

04/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Mosaic came into the care center as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was initially fearful in the new environment – comfortable in his carrier but then trying to flee once removed during the intake process, and he did not allow any handling during his initial medical exam, striking at the technician. He seems to be acclimating well to the shelter environment and is now soliciting attention from his new caretakers. During his behavior assessment he was social and solicitious, at the front of the cage throughout the evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Mosaic is at the front of his cage when the assessor approaches. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains at the front, vocalizing and rubbing on the cage bars. Reaction to touch: Mosaic leans into the assessor’s hand and continues to solicit attention at the front of the cage. He continues vocalizing and soliciting attention when the assessor steps away. Placement determination: Experience Mosaic is showing social behavior and seems to be adjusting well to the kennel environment. Due to his initial fear reaction and acclimation time we suggest an experienced adopter who will allow him to warm up to his new home and new family at his own pace.
