MOON WALK – A1047946
8-21-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 08/21/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY MOON WALK WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A FUREVER HOME BUT THE ACC WANTS TO KILL HIM BEFORE HE HAS THAT CHANCE! MOON WALK found his way into the shelter as a stray so nothing is known of his background or where he came from. He is about 2 years old and is healthy. On intake he was soft and relaxed and was rubbing and seeking attention. After spending some time in a small cage hearing all the noises and cries of the other kitties, he was a little more timid when the assessor showed up, giving him an EXPNOCHILD rating. These ratings are often so unfair as this sweet cat now was whisked to the euth list rather than the adoption room all because he was frightened. GIVE MOON WALK A BREAK TONIGHT AND CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE HIS LIFE. DON’T WAIT – NOON IS NOT FAR OFF AND THE ACC IS QUICK TO ACT. ADOPT MOON WALK NOW!!

08/19/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Moon Walk looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Moon Walk remains crouched down at the back of the cage, alert with eyes wide open and ears down to his side. Reaction to touch: Moon Walk accepts the stroke, but becomes agitated after a few strokes and began to low tail flick. Placement determination: Experience / no child Moon Walk tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
