***SAFE 09/09/15*** MONTY and housemate,FANCY (who is not listed tonight) were surrendered because previous owner moved into a new dwelling that is not pet friendly. Apparently the previous owner thought it to be to inconvenient to look for a place that allowed pets! So now poor MONTY is on death row! The 2 year old got a terrific BEGINNER rating so can be an easy fit for most any home! MONTY was socialized around a 4 year old child and 2 dogs. He was described as”playful and affectionate ” around them! PLEASE offer to FOSTER or ADOPT MONTY! He didn’t deserve to be dumped and shouldn’t have to die like this!

08/28/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/28/15 17:58 BASIC INFO Fancy and Monty were brought to BxAC because their owner is moving to a home that doesn’t allow pets. He got Fancy and Monty 4 and 2 years ago as gifts from friends and family respectively. SOCIALIZATION Fancy and Monty are friendly/outgoing with strangers. They lived with a child who’s currently 4 years old and with 2 small dogs. They’re relaxed, affectionate, playful, and tolerant with each other, the child, and the dogs. They play gently with people and animals and have never bit anyone. BEHAVIOR Fancy and Monty are relaxed in the car. They don’t mind when someone bathes them, brushes them, puts them in carriers, or wakes them up. Fancy tolerates being held and Monty enjoys it. The cats have no known behavior issues. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW The cats’ family describes Fancy as friendly, affectionate, mellow, quiet, and medium energy, and Monty as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, talkative, and high energy. Their owner likes that Fancy lies under him while he does push-ups and Monty grooms his beard. They followed their family around and sat in their laps. They played with stuffed toys. They lived inside and slept on cat beds. They ate dry Purina and Meow Mix foods. They’re littertrained and use an uncovered litterbox with clay litter without having accidents. They don’t scratch anything. INTAKE Monty arrived cradled in his owner’s arms. He had soft body and eyes. He allowed us to put him in a carrier and scan him (-). After a little while around other cats, he growled quietly and occasionally hissed. We allowed him to walk into a kennel for his pictures, and then encouraged him back into his carrier.
