Safe 9-22-2015 Brooklyn
*** SAFE 09/22/15 *** MARVELOUS MOLINA CERTAINLY DIDN’T HIT THE JACKPOT FOR OWNERS!! Her first owner gave her away and her second owner realized that MOLINA and the resident cat weren’t getting along and instead of looking for solutions, got rid of MOLINA!! Already SPAYED, MOLINA is only 2 years old and needs a place where cat behavior is understood. DO YOU HAVE A PLACE FOR MOLINA TO DECOMPRESS AND START OVER?? If so, Please consider her tonite!! MOLINA’s former owner liked her “loyalty” and her “cuddling”, so MOLINA has a lot to offer the right PURRSON!! BE THAT PURRSON & OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT!!

09/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per the previous owner, Molina has not been around dogs or children, so her behavior around them is unknown. She has lived with another cat for the past five months and would chase and jump on the other cat when it was resting. She was kept indoors, but would allow her to roam around their fenced backyard. She was described as playful, confident, friendly, assertive, fearful, talkative, affectionate, and independent. She struggles when picked up, brushed, or held. The owner says their favorite things about Molina are how loyal and how much Molina cuddles. Reaction to Assessor: Molina was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Molina looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Molina remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Molina remains in place and leans into the assessor’s hand when pet, but her ears bend sideways. Reaction to being picked up: Molina shifts away from the assessor’s hand and whines. Molina’s previous owner reports she has litter box accidents a few times a week. She mainly urinates outside the litter box, but on two occasions she has defecated outside the litter box. She has been doing this since she was brought into the new home. She has not been to a vet for this issues but the owner believes it is due to the inter-cat aggression. Molina was not introduced to the home and the other cat slowly; a slow introduction could have prevented the litter box issues and the cat aggression. We recommend that potential adopters be comfortable with management and modification techniques for elimination outside the litter box should this behavior continue in a home environment. Placement Determination: Experience Molina interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, and tolerates all petting, but dislikes being picked up. She may have some behavioral issues that will need to be addressed in the home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
