***SAFE 11/23/15*** LOVELY MALE LAP CAT DESPERATELY NEEDS A HOME! MOE is a handsome 6 year old male cat with white mittens, boots and chest. Gorgeous!! He was brought to the shelter by his owner because his owner had personal problems. So sadly, MOE is on the shelter’s euthanasia list for tomorrow! This SWEETHEART is described by his previous owner as “mellow, friendly and affectionate!” MOE is great with children! He’s not a fan of other cats, but would tolerate them if he needed to. He’d be great in a beginner home!! MOE head-butts anyone who visits with him in his small cage at the shelter. He loves being pet and picked up. MOE IS A TRUE GEM who desperately needs your help tonight so he can stay alive and live the great cat-life he deserves!! PLEASE RESCUE MARVELOUS MOE!!!

11/09/2015 13:18 Basic Infomation: Moe is a 6 year old male domestic short hair cat who is calm and likes to eat and sleep. Social Life and Personality: Around children Moe is relaxed and affectionate and plays gently with them. Around other cats Moe is not friendly and will hiss and swat at them.Moe has never been around any other dogs so it is unknown how he will react to them. Moe is litter box trained and has been kept indoors only. Moe has a low activity level and has been described as mellow, friendly, affectionate and quiet by his previous owner. Behavior Issues: Moe claws on the furnitutre but was not given a scratching post so it is unknown if he will ues one. Moe has never bitten another person or animal. Moe’s previous owner did not attempt to give Moe a bath so it is unknown how he would react to that event. Moe enjoys having his nails trimmed and having someone brush his coat. Moe will struggle when someone picks him up and holds him. Moe will alos Struggle is he is being placed in a carrier. For a New family to Know: Moe uses crystal litter in an uncovered litter box. Moe does not like to play with toys and will follow you around when he is at home. Moe eats dry food from an open bowl. Moe likes to sleep in his owner’s room. Intake Behavior: Moe allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression.

Reaction to assessor: Moe immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Moe remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Moe head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Beginner Moe interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
