***SAFE 07/18/15*** MOE and AMI are two mature 9 year old ladies. They were both found as STRAYS but the finder could no longer keep them in her apartment. They are both friendly. MOE will not play with other cats but is tolerant and is the same with dogs and children. Whereas AMI is a bit more aggressive around other cats and children. So for that she got branded with the NEW HOPE RESCUE rating! MOE does not have a NEW HOPE rating. Please contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE NOW and free these girls together with a place they can call home!

07/14/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/14/15 21:10 Basic Information: Moe is a 9 year old blue smoke female, who was found as a stray by the previous owner. She was surrendered to us because the owner could no longer keep her in the apartment she was in. The two things the owner liked most about Moe is that she always came to him at night and like to cuddle. Social Life & Personality: Around children Moe doesn’t play. Around other cats Moe also doesn’t play. Around other dogs Moe is very tolerant. She is litter box trained and was kept mostly indoors. Her activity level is very high and she can be described as playful, confident, friendly, talkative, very affectionate, fearful, and somewhat independent. Behavior Issues: When given a bath Moe isn’t bothered. When held or picked up, she struggles. When put in the carrier she was afraid and struggled, hissed swatted and bit. If she is disturbed while sleeping, she enjoys it. For a New Family to Know: Moe used crystal litter in an uncovered litter box. She likes to play with catnip toys. She likes to scratch on carpet type furniture and cardboard boxes. When the owners were home Moe tend to follow them around and like to stay in the same room. She played gently with previous owners. When she was driven in the car she enjoyed it but meowed. She eats meow mix dry cat food. And she sleeps anywhere but mainly the bed.

07/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Moe’s former owner stated around children and cats she doesn’t play. Around other dogs Moe is very tolerant. Her activity level is very high and she can be described as playful, confident, friendly, talkative, very affectionate, fearful, and somewhat independent. Reaction to assessor: Moe looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Moe remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Moe accepts the stroke, but hissed twice at the assessor’s hand then began to tail flick. Placement determination: Experience / no child Moe tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
