MITTY – A1045487
8-1-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 08/01/15*** PERFECTLY HEALTHY MITTY IS A TIMID KITTEN WHO NEEDS A FRIEND TO BAIL HER OUT OF THE ACC NOW! MITTY was brought into the shelter as a stray so nothing is known of her background. She is about one year old and is a grown kitten. She is timid and frightened at the scary shelter and knowing this, the ACC has PUNISHED her with the NEW HOPE ONLY rating. MITTY was thought to be possibly pregnant, but the ACC vets can’t seem to confirm that fact. She is afraid, and would love to escape this jail which will soon end her life. DO YOU HAVE ROOM IN YOUR HEART FOR MITTY? PLEASE CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY.

07/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Mitty was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Mitty was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: seems nervous, watching assessor, wide eyes When spoken quietly: seems nervous, watching assessor, wide eyes Reaction to door cage opening: becomes stiff, alert Reaction to touch: avoids being touched, retreats, swat, my attempt to flee Try picking cat up: Mitty appears very fearful and does not allow handling Placement Determination: NewHope
