A volunteer writes: This kitty is a very sweet black tabby with amazing green eyes. Pet her head while she eats, watch her tail wave gently back and forth. She sure is a sweetheart, really loving your company. Come visit her and I’m sure she will win your heart over with her loving personality. Another volunteer writes: Michelle is an adorable and super-loving black tabby who can’t wait for you to pay attention to her. As soon as you open her kennel door she rolls over on her back in anticipation of some chin rubbing. While you stroke her she looks up at you appreciatively with her soulful and pretty eyes. What a lovely little girl Michelle is!

Mitch was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She was easy to handle upon intake and during her initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Mitch was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mitch reaches out with her paws. Reaction to cage door opening: Mitch remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Mitch head-butts, begins to purr, and leans on the assessor’s hand. She attempts to explore outside of her cage. Reaction to being picked up: Mitch remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Mitch interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
