* SAFE 04/21/15 * MISTY’S STORY SHOULD NOT END HERE AT THE ACC NO MATTER WHETHER OR NOT HE IS FELV+ . Misty is a 7 year old stray who was brought to the shelter with a wound on his back which was infected. To make matters worse, Misty tested positive for FELV and had jaundice and a bad URI. All these conditions are very treatable with a good round of antibiotics and some TLC. This boy was super sweet and friendly from the time he entered the shelter. Now, the ACC has decided to just stop treatment and end his life Monday afternoon. FELV cats can live long lives as an only pet, or with a dog or other FELV cats. They may never actually come down with the disease and just be a carrier. Misty needs to see a competent vet and have a foster or adoptive home where he can recuperate. CAN YOU BE MISTY’S RESCUE ANGEL TONIGHT. THIS CAT ROCKED AN AVERAGE RATING SINCE HE WAS FRIENDLY AND EASY TO HANDLE. MISTY WILL APPRECIATE YOUR LOVE AND CARE. SAVE HIM TONIGHT!!
