05/22/15 19:40 Missy Elliot is a gray Domestic Shorthair that was found by the owner when she was around 3 months. Missy is now 15 years old. The surrender is due to the owner not having the financial means for vet check ups in her old age. Missy lived with adults and lived with a newborn who is now 6 years old. Missy was gentle with the child the if the child was rough with her. Missy lived with a Maltese mix and the dog’s 4 pups. Missy will sniff the dog and her pups and they will play with each other. Missy once got outside and then got pregnant. The owner kept a boy from the itter who is now 4 years old. Just recently Missy has not been tolerating her son. If he walks by, she will hiss and swat at him and he will run away. Missy does not pursur him. Missy is an indoor cat with a low activitly level. She mostly lays around. Missy has bene having problmes in the last 3 months with not making it to the litter box and will have accidents. She also has been peeing in her sleep. Missy has an uncovered litter box. She no longer plays with toys. Missy loves to sleep in the bed with her favorite human of the home. The owner states she clumbs on the kitchen table, kitchen counter tops, and the fridge. At intake, Missy was queit and allowed the counselor to pet, collar, and scan her.

Owner Profile: Missy Elliot was bought into the care center by her previous owner due to the owner not being able to provide financial care for Missy . Missy lived with adults and a young child. Missy was gentle with the child the even when the child was rough with her. Missy lived with a small dog and her puppies. Missy would sniff the dog and her puppies before they play with each other. Mimi also lived with her son. The previous owner reported just recently Missy has not been tolerating her son. Missy has been having problems in the last three months with not making it to the litter box. She also urinates in her sleep. Notes: Missy Elliot at the time of the assessment was displaying a slightly fearful behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel,seems indifferent to my presence and touch , allows handling and tolerates all petting. Missy Elliot is displaying behavior appropriate for experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless (2) Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch (2) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling but tense.
