Missy is a year and a half year old beautiful and healthy girl whose family gave up when they moved to a place and couldn’t take her along. She is yet another docile, affectionate and respectful housepet who is having a tough time at the shelter and has been slapped with a NH rating due to her being petrified at the shelter. Missy has lived with five other cats, dogs and has been socialized with children. She will surely be a loving and grateful addition to her new home. 06/30/15 15:48 Basic Information: Missy is an unaltered 1 1/2 year old domestic short hair. She was bred at home and is being surrendered because the owner’s new landlord does not allow cats in the building. Missy has not been to the vet but has no known health problems or injuries. Social Life and Personality: Missy has lived with 2 adults. She has not been socialized with children. She has lived with 5 other cats and is relaxed, respectful and tolerant of each other. The play exuberantly with each other. She has also lived with two small dogs. The dogs and Missy are relaxed, affectionate, respectful, and tolerant of each other. She is litter box trained and does not have accidents outside the box. She has been kept indoors and has a medium activity level. Behavior: Missy has not been bathed, have her nails trimmed, or been brushed to know how she would react to it. She struggles when held. She is not bothered when placed in a carrier. For a New Family to Know: Missy is used to a hooded litter box. She likes to play with balls and laser pointers. She scratches on her vertical post made out of carpet. She is relaxed during car rides. She is feed wet and dry food twice a day. She likes to sleep in the bed. Intake Behavior: Missy had a tense body during the intake. She allowed handling and did not show any aggressive behaviors.

Owner Profile: Missy was bought into the care center by her previous owner due to land lord not allowing pets. Missy has lived with two adults. She has not been socialized with children. She has lived with five other cats and is relaxed, respectful and tolerant of each other. The play exuberantly with each other. She has also lived with two small dogs. The dogs and Missy are relaxed, affectionate, respectful, and tolerant of each other. She is litter box trained. She has been kept indoors and has a medium activity level. Notes: Missy seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment she was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
