***SAFE 06/15/15*** PLAYFUL AND AFFECTIONATE MISSU NUZZLES THE ASSESSOR’S HAND AND PURRS – AND DESPITE BEING PERFECTLY HEALTHY, THE ACC WILL KILL HER FOR NO REASON!! MISSU was dumped in the shelter for the old allergy excuse. She is 10 months old and has a lot of energy. MISSU’s owner said she is a very loving kitty and loves to play. At her assessment she was rubbing, soliciting attention, purring and was calm and friendly. YET the ACC gave her an EXPERIENCE RATING!!! Really??? This super little love bug is only a kitten and once you get her home, she will be a regular mush -ball!! DON’T LET THE ACC SNUFF OUT THE LIFE OF THIS KITTEN – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY.

05/30/15 16:16 Basic Information Missu is a 9 month old female cat. She was found by her former owner. She is described as loving to her family and high energy. Social Life and Personality This cat has no experience with children. She is used to an adult only home. Missu has had no interaction with other animals (dogs or cats). There was a time that she got out of the house for three days and then came back, aside from that she has never been outside. Missu loves to play and she is high energy. She is an independent and confident kitty. Behavior Issues Missu has never bitten another animal or human. She likes to a good brushing but she really hates water. She has been known to hiss and swat at anyone trying to get her in water. For a New Family to Know Missu is most familiar with crystal litter in an uncovered box. She loves to play with balls and chase them. She is very high energy and will need time to adjust to the right home. She likes wet food but will eat dry as well. When bed time comes she will sleep with you once she warms up.

Date: 06/05/15 Reaction to assessor: Missu comes to the front and is calm, relaxed, and friendly. When softly spoken to, she rubs her cheeks onto the cage door. Reaction to door opening: Missu remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Missu sniffs the assessor’s hand solicits attention by rubbing all over the assessor. She nuzzles against the assessor’s arms and begins to purr when pet. Reaction to being picked up: Missu remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Experience Missu’s behavior has improved during her stay in the care center. She interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 06/02/15 Please take note: Missu’s former owner stated she loves to play and she is high energy. She is independent and a confident kitty. Also, becomes defensive when it was time for baths. Reaction to assessor: Missu looks tense in her cage when approached by the asssessor. Reaction to door opening: Missu remains sitting upright by the front, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Missu slowly sniffs the assessor’s hand before she accepts a stroke. While she remains focus on the touch, she attempts to dodge contact. Missu began to retreat to the back and starts to hiss. Placement determination: Experience / no child Missu tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
