She will approach family member and rub on them. She is vocal when placed in a carrier and when she is hungry. She enjoys unlimited wet food and enjoys the company of people. Minnie is an indoors cat enjoys to lounge around and sleep. When she is fearful she runs and hid. She warms up to people fairly quickly.” SO WHY DOES MINNY HAVE A NEW HOPE RATING?? When she is fearful she runs and hid. She warms up to people fairly quickly. Upon intake Minnie body was soft and relaxed. She was vocal while in her carrier. But she allowed to be pet, she had a soft face and gaze. She allowed to be collard, scanned (negative), photographed. She allowed to be handled and held.

Minnie’s former owner stated she is gentle and friendly with familiar people. She will approach family members and rub on them. Also, when she is fearful she runs and hide. Reaction to assessor: Minny looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Minny remains crouched down on her cage bedding, hissing at the assessor. Reaction to touch: Minny does not allow the stroke, hisses, swats, and retreats away from the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Minny is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
