MINDY – A1053807
Gone 10-10-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 10/10/15***Sweet little MINDY has lived as a stray in the Bronx for all of her 3 years. She has had at least 5 litters of kittens and the person who brought her in found homes for all of her kittens. But now MINDY is the one who needs a home! She is a shy beauty who is a little timid at first but likes being pet. She would do best in an experienced pet home, where MINDY can have a little time to trust her new owners. This special girl is a survivor who managed to live alone on the streets of the city. Don’t let her life end with a cruel lethal injection! This brave girl deserves a loving home! She is open to affection, and with a little TLC this young cat will be a loyal friend. Give sweet MINDY a chance!!

10/06/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Mindy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder states that Mindy has been living outside of her building for the past 3 years. She was fearful upon intake and would retreat when approached. She did allow handling throughout intake and during her initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Mindy was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mindy looks away from the assessor and lip licks. Reaction to cage door opening: Mindy backs away slightly. Reaction to touch: Mindy was hesitant of touch, but remains in place for petting. She twitches when pet on her back, but allows all petting and lip licks. Behavior Determination: Experience Mindy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
