***GONE 09/12/15***MARVELOUS MIMI NEEDS NEW FRIEND Mimi is a super sweet and delicious 14 month old black and white cookie who desperately needs us to advocate for her tonight. This lovely lady is yet another betrayed, and loyal feline friend dumped by her former family when they decided to move to a place that didn’t allow pets. This great gal has lived with kids and is super loving and affectionate. She would make a purrfect companion to just about anyone. Please reserve her online or contact a NH rescue for assistance with transportation. Let’s do everything we can to help write a happy ending to marvelous Mimi’s sad tale. So won’t you open up your heart and home to this great girl???

I am a female black and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 1 YEAR 2 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 09/05/2015 from NY 11356, owner surrender reason stated was MOVE2PRIVA.

09/11/2015 Exam Type CAGE EXAM – Medical Rating is 3 C – MAJOR CONDITIONS , Behavior Rating is EXPERIENCE, Weight 7.5 LBS.

09/05/15 14:19 BASIC INFORMATION: Mimi is a black/white DSH cat. Mimi is a female & has no known health issues. Mimi was given to the owner 1yr & 2months ago. Owner is surrendering Mimi to ACC due to a residential move to a home that does not allow pets. SOCIALIZATION: Mimi has lived with children ages, 5,3 & 1. Mimi is very playful & enjoys children play. Mimi is also very friendly towards the 2 adults she has lived with. Mimi may sometimes run and hide when strangers come into the home. Once Mimi is familiar with the strangers she will open up & seek attention. Mimi has not resided with other animals, but has had interactions with cats outside. Mimi will at times go outside & come back to the home by the end of the day. Mimi has not displayed aggressive behavior towards cats outside. Mimi has never bitten or scratched another animal or person. BEHAVIOR: Mimi allows owner to wipe her down with cat cleaning wipes. Mimi allows owner to trim her nails. She is also tolerable of being picked & placed inside of carrier. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Mimi uses clumping litter inside of a uncovered litter box. Mimi enjoys playing with stuffed toys & plastic balls. Mimi has a scratching post made of carpet. Mimi loves to play & run around the home. When owner is home, Mimi will follow owner around. Mimi has been in car rides more than once & will meow. Mimi enjoys eating wet food from Friskies brand. She enjoys sleeping in hidden places such as inside of o wners box frame of the bed. Mimi is best described as a playful, affectionate & friendly. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE: Mimi displayed a soft body & allowed counselor t o scan & take photo. Mimi scanned negative & allowed minimal handling. Once Mimi was placed inside of cage she began to his & did not tolerate handling after.

Owner Profile: Mimi was bought into the care center due to the previous owner moving to a home that does not allow pets. Mimi has lived with young children. Mimi is very playful and enjoys children play. Mimi is also very friendly towards the adults she lived with. Mimi may sometimes run and hide when strangers come into the home. Once Mimi is familiar with the strangers she will open up and seek attention. Mimi has not lived with other animals, but has had interactions with cats outside. Mimi will at times go outside and come back to the home by the end of the day. Mimi has not displayed fractious behavior towards cats outside. Notes: At the time of the assessment Mimi was displaying friendly behavior but becomes over stimulated, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Mimi will go the back of the cage and start to tail flick when she becomes over stimulated. She may swat if her warnings are ignored. Mimi is displaying behavior appropriate for an experienced cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention but will become over stimulated in time Try picking cat up: Mimi allows handling with slow approach Placement Determination: Experience
