*** SAFE 07/30/15 *** YOU CAN HAVE THIS “MILKSHAKE”, EVEN IF YOU’RE LACTOSE INTOLERANT!! A volunteer writes: Milkshake is an ADORABLE, friendly lap-kitty. When I first walked into his room, he immediately called me over for some petting. After a few minutes of cheek-scratching, he stood up, put his front paws over my shoulders, and nuzzled my face. (Can you picture that? This cat gives hugs! That is a special kitty!) When I took him out of his cage, he immediately climbed into my lap and plopped right down. His beautiful tuxedo coat includes a distinctive white nose stripe and four perfect white socks. In his previous home, he lived with four children, a dog and another cat. His notes say that he played exuberantly with all of them and even slept with the dog and cat. He is such a sweet boy; the person who snatches him up and gives him the loving home he deserves will be so lucky! NIFTY AND NEUTERED….PLEASE GIVE MILKSHAKE A HOME TONIGHT!!

07/02/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/02/15 17:17 BASIC INFO Milkshake’s family got him from a friend 2 years ago. They surrendered him because they lost their home. SOCIALIZATION Milkshake is friendly and outgoing with strangers. He lived with 4 children ages 3-16. He lived with a younger female cat and a small dog. He’s relaxed, affectionate, and tolerant with the children and pets. He played and slept with the dog and cat. He plays exuberantly with adults, children, and the other pets. He’s never bit/scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Milkshake has no known behavior issues. He doesn’t mind being picked up, brushed, put in a carrier, or woken up. He struggles during baths. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Milkshake’s family describes him as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, and high energy. He follows his family around and sits in their laps. His favorite activity is cuddling. He also plays with all toys-balls, string, wand toys, stuffed toys, and catnip toys. He lived inside and slept with his owners or on a cat bed. He ate dry and wet cat food. He’s littertrained and doesn’t have accidents. He used litterboxes that are uncovered and ones that are hooded (without a door). He used clumping litter. He doesn’t scratch furniture. He had vertical and horizontal scratching posts made of carpet, rope, and cardboard that he used. INTAKE Milkshake walked into his kennel. He approached me with a soft body and head butted me while I pet, scanned (-), and collared him. He maintained a soft body while I held him but became tense on the counter. He looked around and over the edge, as if he would jump if I wasn’t blocking him, during pictures. He allowed me to pick him up and put him back. He was easy to handle and didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.
