I am a female brn tabby domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/16/2015 from NY 10466, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-027514.

08/18/15 15:02 Behavior during intake: Milk would approach and sniff when I opened the carrier door. When I extended my hand she sniffed and head-butted. While out of the carrier he head-butted and allowed me to pet him. She ate and allowed me to hold her and collar her. She showed no signs of aggression.

A volunteer writes: Upon arrival at the shelter, they said this adorable tiger was scared, but she seems a bit more settled in. I heard her mewing and was surprised to see how eager for attention she was. As soon as I stroked her, she began to purr, snuggled into her blanket, crossed her front paws, and settled down for a sweet nap. Milk is ready to get comfortable with you.

Reaction to assessor: Milk looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Milk remains crouched down at the front of the cage, alert with eyes wide open and observing movement. Reaction to touch: Milk accepts the stroke, purrs in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She becomes frantic and jumps back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Milk interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
