MILK – A0953495
Gone 10-9-2015 Manhattan
**GONE 10/09/15** MILK is a sweet, spayed girl who was adopted from the ACC a while back, but who found herself returned! She inspired these glowing volunteer comments and definitely deserves to be saved, tonight! “A volunteer writes: She is the chatterbox of the adoption room. If you are lonely and want some talkative company or you just like the sound of a vocal cat come and meet Milk. She is the cat’s Milky Way of all felines. Such a friendly kitty who loves to be petted and wants your attention. She makes a great companion to a loving attentive home. Another volunteer writes: Meet my girl Milk: she’s very curious, cheers everyone up, is quite a talker, and has this funny habit of reaching her paw out of her kennel to tap passersby on the arm as if to say, “hey, how about some petting please?” She’s got lots of school spirit, enjoys being the center of attention, and always lets you know what kind of mood she’s in–if it’s time for playing and petting or she feels more like sacking out and watching the action. There’s something very puppy-like about her, which probably explains why she’s so popular. Introduce yourself to Ms. Milk today!”

10/06/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Milk’s former owner stated she is described as friendly, confident, and talkative with a high activity level. According to owner she has not been around any children or other animals while with him. Reaction to assessor: Milk looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Milk remains sitting upright at the back of the cage, alert with direct stare. Reaction to touch: Milk does not accept the stroke attempts to slowly swat at the assessor’s hand and growls to avoid petting. Placement determination: Experience / no child Milk tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
