07/18/15 18:03 Midnight is a 3 year old gray tabby male domestic shorthair cat who is being surrendered because the client is moving. Midnight has been with the family for almost 2 years. Midnight lived with 1 adult and 1 other cat. Midnight has been exposed to children and is reported to be tolerant. Midnight is exuberant for play and other cat is mostly receptive but can be overwhelmed at times. Midnight is shy to visitors to the home. Midnight is an indoor cat who uses clumping litter. Midnight is not receptive to bathing and owner does not trim nails. Midnight likes to be picked up and sometimes enjoys brushing. Midnight may struggle to be placed in the carrier. Midnight likes feather toys. Midnight has a vertical scratching post with cardboard which he uses. He will also scratch leather and furniture in the house. When the family is home he likes to be where they are. Midnight eats both wet and dry food. Upon intake Midnight was receptive but shy for introduction. Midnight was semi tense for handling and attempted to flee but was not insistent. Counselor scanned for microchip (negative) collared and photographed. Midnight was easily replaced to the carrier.

Owner Profile: Midnight lived with one adult and one other cat. Midnight has been exposed to children and is reported to be tolerant of them. Midnight is very active and like to play with the other cat but can be overwhelmed at times. Midnight is shy to visitors to the home. Midnight is an indoor cat. Midnight is liter box trained. Notes: Midnight At the time of the assessment was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. Although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front , appears nervous When spoken quietly: does not come to front , appears nervous Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: allows petting but is tense Try picking cat up: Midnight appears to be very nervous so i did not attempt to pick him up Placement Determination: Experience
