07/02/15 12:42 Basic Information: Midnight is an 8 years old domestic shorthair. She has been with her current owner since last December. Owner had to surrender Midnight due to personal problems. Social Life and Personality: Midnight lived with one female adult and a child of the age of three. Owner stated Midnight was tolerant and relaxed towards the people in the household. Midnight mostly wants to be alone and swats when he doesn’t want to be bothered. Midnight is unknown towards cats and dogs. He is indoors only and activity level is to a medium. He runs around at night and hides mostly through the day. Owner stated he is playful, shy, mellow, friendly and quiet. Behavior Issues: Midnight never bitten or scratched anyone to owner’s knowledge. Owner stated he scratches on walls as a scratching post. Midnight struggles to take a bath and never had his nail trimmed. He doesn’t like to be picked up and held. For a New Family to Know: Midnight is litter box trained and uses a uncovered litter box. He likes to play with balls and pieces of paper. He likes to lay in his litter box or under the bed. He eats wet food because dry food he will vomit owner stated. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Midnight was calm and relax in carrier. When outside carrier he was nervous. He scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.

Midnight behavior is unknown towards cats and dogs. He is indoors only and activity level is to a medium. He runs around at night and hides mostly through the day. The previous owner stated he is playful, shy, mellow, friendly and quiet. Notes: Midnight at the time of the assessment was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Midnight is displaying behavior appropriate for a new cat owner. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, soliciting, Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed, rubs body on hand Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling but becomes very nervous Placement Determination: Average
