06/25/15 17:33hrs BASIC INFORMATION Midlight is an 8 month old domestic shorthair cat that has been raised by his owner since he was a few weeks old. He is being surrendered today because his owner is moving and is not allowed to keep him any longer. SOCIAL LIFE & PERSONALITY Midlight is an overly affectionate, high energy cat that lived indoors all his life and enjoys playing. He has interacted with children aged 4 and 5 and would allow them to pet, hold and carry him. When he tired of playing he would scurry away and hide. Midlight has lived in a multiple cat home. He would play with many of the tolerant cats but if he didn’t want to interact with a cat, he would hiss at them from afar. Midlight also lived with a dog and was very tolerant but did not interact with him. BEHAVIOR Midlight was tolerant of all people he has interacted with. He will purr while being brushed. He would remain still and allow his owner to trim his nails but would flick his tail the whole time. He enjoys playing in water and would sit still while being bathed. He would also jump into the shower with his owner to wet his paws and jump out. Midlight would allow his owner to carry him around the house like a baby. Midlight is litterbox trained and is accustomed to Fresh Step clumping litter in an open or hooded box. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Midlight is a playful, affectionate and curious cat. He will find anything in the home to play with especially his catnip stuffed toys. He enjoys using a vertical wood scratching board. He will follow you around meowing until he gets your attention. He eats dry and wet Purina cat food. He does enjoy bacon treats for felines. His owner stated that he will nibble on his blanket and paw at it until he falls asleep. He prefers sleeping in bed next to his owner. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Midlight was calm in his carrier yet shied away when it was opened. He walked out of his carrier on his own. He sniffed Admissions Counselor hand and allowed petting. When given Temptations cat treats he ate and allowed for continuous petting and collaring. Midlight solicited attention throughout the remainder of the intake by meowing and nuzzling face on the admissions counselor gloved hands.
