08/24/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Micha was resting in her cage upon approach. She lifts her head to look at the assessor when softly spoken to, but goes back to sleep. Reaction to cage door opening: Micha retreats to the back briefly, but slowly comes back to the front. Reaction to touch: Micha sniffs the assessor’s hand, but becomes stiff and strikes at the hand multiple times. She continues to growl and attempts to swat again as the assessor close the cage door. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Micha is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to swat and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
