09/29/2015 09:48 Basic Information: Mia is a 15 year old female domestic short hair cat Social Life and Personality: Mia has been around children ages 1 to 5 and is relaxed and affectionate around them. Mia has never been around any other cats or dogs so it is unknown how she will react to them. Mia is litter box trained and has been kept indoors only. Mia has been described as: confident, mellow, affectionate and quiet with a low activity level. Behavior Issues: Mia has never bitten a person or another animal and has good behavior. Mia’s previous owner has never given her a bath, trimmed her nails or disturbed her when she was resting. Mia is not bothered by anyone brushing her coat, holding her, or putting her in a carrier. For a New Family to Know: Mia uses clumping litter in a hooded litter box and likes to play with yarn and laser pointers. Mia will scratch on the carpet and likes to be in the same room as you. When in a car Mia will cry and meow. Mia eats both fancy feast wet food and meow mix dry food. Mia will sleep where she feels most comfortable in the house. Intake Behavior: Mia allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression. Mia allowed taff to pick her up and pet her.

Reaction to touch: Mia accepts the stroke and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She becomes antsy and jumps back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Mia interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
