MERCURY – A1043890
7-18-2015 Manhattan
**GONE 07/18/15** NEW HOPE SHOULD NOT MEAN NO HOPE! Mercury is a gorgeous 2-year-old lady who needs a New Hope rescue partner to step up for her tonight. She was found in a building and her good health suggests that she was someone’s pet. Did she get lost? Did someone purposefully drive her far, far from home and then kick her to the curb? Whatever is in Mercury’s past has her unsettled, and the ACC experience did nothing to assuage her fears. This classic beauty needs a foster/adopter who can offer her the space and TLC to become a lovely pet again, backed by a New Hope rescue group. Save MERCURY tonight!

Reaction to touch: Mercury accepts a stroke, but began to hiss with ears down and strikes at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Mercury is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting.
