**SAFE 11/12/15** ELEVEN MONTH OLD MEMO IS HOPING THAT YOU WILL RESCUE HIM IN THIS ELEVENTH HOUR!! … A volunteer writes: Oh my goodness! I couldn’t believe that I found Memo in his kennel for the second weekend in a row. I thought for sure that this little cutie pie would be adopted by now and lapping up the affection that his human companions will surely want to shower on him. He is just the sweetest boy, with clear eyes that gaze out at you in anticipation of attention. He’s playful and easy-going, and would make the best kitty companion imaginable. Write yourself a memo to remember to run over to the Brooklyn care center to adopt Memo!…MEMO’S pal, ALVINA, is already SAFE…..CAN WE DO THE SAME FOR MEMO? I am a male brn tabby and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 11 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 10/26/2015 from NY 11356, owner surrender reason stated was MOVE2PRIVA. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-037328.

10/26/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/26/15 11:30 Basic information Memo is a 10 month old male brown tabby and white domestic short hair with no known medical conditions. Owner has had Memo for 4 months and found him wandering loose in the street. Owner is surrendering because of housing situations. Socialization Memo hasn’t been socialized with children or other dogs but has lived with another cat that he was found wandering loose with. Memo got along well with his house mate and played gently with her. Memo is litter box trained and has not had any accidents outside the box. Memo was described as affectionate and loving with a high activity level. Behavior Memo has been given one bath and was afraid but allowed owner to wash him. Memo isn’t bothered by having his nails trimmed or being pushed off furniture. For the new family to know Memo enjoys playing with any type of ball that he can chase around. Memo has a vertical scratching post mad of carpet. Memo can use both an uncovered and covered litter box. Previous owner use to use newspaper instead of litter. When home with Memo he tends to follow you around. In the car ride Memo meowed and cried. Memo eats meow mix dry food twice a day and sleeps on either the sofa or the bed. Behavior during intake Memo was slightly tense during intake but allowed counselor to scan collar and all handling.

Memo was bought into the care center due to the previous owner moving out of state. Memo hasn’t been socialized with children or other dogs but has lived with another cat that he was found wandering loose with. Memo got along well with his house mate and played gently with her. Memo is litter box trained and has not had any accidents outside the box. Memo was described as affectionate and loving with a high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Memo does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Memo does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: Memo remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Memo allows petting and attention Try picking cat up: Memo is tolerant of this type of handling but becomes tense Behavior Determination: Average At the time of the assessment Memo was displaying shy behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Memo is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
