Meg A1061857- 2 years old, Female, Domestic Short Hair, White and Black, Stray, 10.3 pounds
Medical:
Scan negative
Approx 2 yr
Female
Presented BAR, in active stage 2 labor, limb of fetus protruding from vulva, Meg will intermittently push.
Abdominal radiographs revealed one kitten lodged in birth canal and 3 other kittens in uterus.
Manual manipulation to correct and advance the fetus was unsuccessful and fetus is deceased.
Notified NH, Meg needs immediate veterinary care for medical management and supportive care OR emergency c-section.
Risk of uterine ruputre w/ medical management, and risk of septic abdomen if taken to surgery.
Vaccines, pyrantel, and activyl were not given due to medical condition.
